Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday starting at 7:00 AM with overtime opportunities. Starting wage ranges from $24.00 to $30.75 per hour based on experience, with potential increases based on performance and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight and loading trucks.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify contents of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
