R B Hinkle Construction Inc. in Sterling, VA is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from construction sites. This role supports project teams by delivering heavy machinery and ensuring on-time readiness.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, maintain logs, and coordinate with dispatch. Candidates need a clean CDL A, 2+ years' experience, DOT knowledge, and the ability to pass a drug test; occasional site duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years verifiable Class A experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment and materials.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift loads as required.
• Strong communication and team work; able to follow dispatch instructions.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and lowboy trailers.
• Transport heavy construction equipment and materials to sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document defects.
• Load, secure, and weight loads according to DOT rules.
• Maintain daily logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Communicate with dispatch and site teams about schedules and issues.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and assist on site duties as needed.
