Job summary

R B Hinkle Construction Inc is seeking a skilled CDL Class A or B Driver to operate dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy vehicles for construction projects in Sterling, Virginia. The role involves transporting asphalt, aggregate, dirt, and equipment to multiple job sites, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will perform vehicle inspections, secure loads, and assist with general labor tasks when not actively driving.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy construction vehicles.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal DOT regulations including hours of service (HOS).
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDL Class A or B vehicles (dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy equipment).
• Safely transport materials and equipment to and from job sites in Sterling, VA.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report defects.
• Load/unload materials with proper securement to prevent movement.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and project teams.
• Assist with general labor duties when not driving.
• Keep vehicle cab clean and organized.
