Job summary

R B Hinkle Construction Inc is seeking skilled Equipment Operators and CDL Drivers to join our team in the United States. You will operate heavy construction machinery, perform inspections, and ensure safe, compliant project execution at various sites.

Qualified applicants have CDL Class A or B, a current DOT medical card, and experience reading grade stakes and blueprints. We value safety, reliability, and teamwork on diverse weather projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and construction plans.
• Mechanical aptitude for performing basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other construction machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment and complete daily maintenance checks.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
• Interpret and follow grade stakes, blueprints, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring secure transport.
• Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) with a CDL, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy haul vehicles.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on job sites.
• Perform manual labor as needed to support construction operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
