Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. This role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while ensuring safety, service, and on-time delivery.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday starting at 7:00 AM with overtime as needed; a $24.00–$28.00 hourly wage and a $10,000 sign-on bonus are offered, with paid overtime after 40 hours and weekend OT as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a valid CDL Class A license or complete company CDL training program.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Doubles/triples endorsement or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with sorting freight, loading trucks and other duties as needed.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other required duties as assigned.
