Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an experienced Driver to transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and construction sites. This hands-on role requires safe driving, customer service, and adherence to DOT guidelines.

Base pay starts at $24.00 per hour with full-time benefits. Site address is 4020 SW 449th St., Horseshoe Beach, FL 32648. Weekend work and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience (or equivalent Military DD214).
• Clean driving record and ability to tarp loads as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and work safely all day.
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers and construction sites.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment.
• Report needed repairs promptly and comply with DOT guidelines.
• Load/unload using Manitou or Moffett and verify loads before leaving.
• Occasional weekend work and flexible hours as required.

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $24.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands‑on delivery driving position some Weekends may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional Weekend work
• Flexible work hours
• Other duties as assigned

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Operate trailer mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
