Cornerstone Building Brands in Willis, TX is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver. The role involves loading/unloading materials, delivering to customer sites, and ensuring accurate delivery with COD processing.

The position requires a Class A CDL, 2 years of tractor-trailer experience, and compliance with safety and DOT regulations. Salary is $25.00 per hour with standard benefits and daily regional work, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide and ensure customer-focused activities, deliverables and services.
• Manage daily activities resulting in continuous efficiency and process improvements.
• Perform material handling: loading/unloading by hand, forklift or overhead crane.
• Reconcile material requirements with shipping list and obtain customer signatures.
• Collect correct amounts for COD deliveries.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of tractor/trailer and fix defects.
• Operate onboard recording system and comply with DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Deliver products to customer sites using piggy-back trailer-mounted forklift (training available).

Job Focus / Purpose

• Perform product loading/unloading and delivery activities in a customer responsive, safe and efficient manner.
• $25.00 an hour.
• Monday - Friday Regional position

Vital Outcomes / Essential Job Functions

1. 1. Provide and ensure customer-focused activities, deliverables and services.
   2. Manage daily activities resulting in continuous efficiency and process improvements.
2. Perform material handling activities to include loading and unloading material on a trailer by hand, forklift or overhead crane.
3. Reconcile material requirements with shipping list to ensure delivery is correct and obtain appropriate customer signatures to verify receipt.
4. Collect correct amounts for COD deliveries.
5. Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of tractor and trailer and have deficiencies corrected if vehicle is not safe to operate.
6. Operate onboard recording system (OBR) and adhere to company policies, D.O.T. regulations, and all federal, state and local traffic laws while driving.
7. Deliver products during the day through the use of a piggy-back trailer mounted forklift (training available) at customer job sites and locations
8. Provide courteous, prompt, and professional customer service at all times.
9. Position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending and moving of heavy products (60+ pounds).
10. May be exposed to varying temperatures and seasonal climate conditions due to exposure, external of tractor-trailer.
11. Inspect and clean vehicle to make sure that all functions are working correctly, safely, and good appearance is maintained.
12. Perform cleaning and housekeeping activities.
13. Perform work in a safe and efficient manner.

    2. Comply with all safety requirements and use all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• 2 years of previous tractor-trailer flatbeddriving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Valid Medical Card
• Must be able to drive interstate as business necessitates.
• Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Must be insurable according to company insurance requirements.
• Strong customer service skills.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
