Job summary

FedEx Freight is hiring a truck driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting the selling process.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, ability to handle up to 100 pounds, and compliance with DOT regulations. You may operate long combination vehicles and participate in the FedEx Driver Development program if needed. A strong safety record is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• One year of experience within the last three years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have an acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulations under FMC 391.
• Must be able to lift/carry hand freight up to 100 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies; secure freight inside trailers.
• Demonstrate customer service and solicit additional business from customers.
• Maintain required documentation and reports; follow dispatch instructions.
• Drive in varied weather and comply with DOT rules and company policies.
