Job summary

FedEx Freight seeks a CDL Class A driver to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting the selling process.

The role requires performing daily pre-trip inspections, securing loads, and complying with DOT regulations. You will communicate with dispatch, maintain documentation, and provide excellent customer service while pursuing additional business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements; Automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• Must possess one year experience within past three years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under 391 FMC regulations
• LCV qualifications may apply in listed states and require appropriate standards

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples or straight trucks
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, rope and other supplies
• Complete required documentation and reports
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues
• Provide customer service and solicit additional business opportunities
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations and company policies
• May perform road driver or dock duties as needed
