Job summary

FedEx Freight in Spokane, WA seeks a professional Class A CDL driver responsible for picking up and delivering freight between service centers and customers. You will support the selling process and maintain compliance with DOT hazmat regulations.

The role involves operating various tractor-trailer configurations and performing pre-trip inspections. Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL with relevant endorsements, an acceptable MVR, and the ability to handle physical duties such as lifting up

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL with doubles/triples and tank endorsements.
• Hazmat endorsement required; automatic transmission allowed.
• Valid MVR meeting company standards; DOT FMCSA 391 compliance.
• LCV experience/qualification required for listed states.
• Experience or ability to work with basic math and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples and straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and DOT procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding pick-ups, deliveries, and issues.
• May perform linehaul duties and related tasks as assigned by operations.
