Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a CDL-qualified driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. You will perform daily inspections, hook/unhook trailers, and secure cargo while following dispatch instructions and safety rules.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat/tank endorsements, MVR compliance, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Customer service skills are essential for coordinating pickups and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year experience in last 3 years or FedEx Freight Driver Development Course completed.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per hiring standards.
• DOT FMC regulations (49 CFR part 391) compliance.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds and ability to operate across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and deliver freight between service centers and customers.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies; secure freight inside trailers.
• Complete required documentation and reports; communicate with dispatch.
• Interact with customers to determine pick-up/delivery needs and solicit additional business.
