Job summary

Republic Services, a leader in environmental services, is seeking a Driver with a CDL-B license to operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. You must follow safety standards, complete daily VCRs, and comply with all regulations while serving customers on your route.

The role emphasizes safe driving, on-site vehicle inspections, and professional interaction with customers and dispatchers, with a focus on reliability and efficient route execution.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B license with air brakes endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure tires, fluids, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the collection truck along assigned routes and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or by the dispatcher.
• Load and unload refuse using the packer mechanism and dispose of materials at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely and professional service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports (VCRs) daily.
• Maintain adherence to safety policies and Company procedures; participate in the ReSOP program.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
