Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services to customers. You will ensure the vehicle meets safety standards and comply with all state and federal regulations while on duty.

The role requires passing pre- and post-trip inspections, loading waste, interacting with customers and dispatchers, and maintaining route productivity.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on the designated route and service each customer.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Maintain productivity standards and follow safety policies.
