Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL-B driver to safely operate a collection truck and provide courteous waste removal services to customers on prescribed routes. You will perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, documenting any defects and maintaining a clean operating record.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
• Comfort with pre/post-trip inspections and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety, tire pressure, fluids, and safety equipment are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the collection truck along designated routes to service customers and dispose of waste at designated facilities.
• Follow safety policies and procedures to operate controls and load refuse while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely and accurate service on each route.
• Complete required reports and maintain productivity standards per department guidelines.
