Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL B to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services. The role includes vehicle safety checks, route servicing, and maintaining daily reports.

This position emphasizes courteous customer interactions and adherence to safety standards. The job focuses on operating within regulatory guidelines, performing pre/post inspections, and maintaining efficiency on all routes.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely operate the collection truck along the route and service customers as identified.
• Load refuse and operate the compactor to dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain safety standards.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports.
