Job summary

GFI in Minnesota is seeking a Truck Driver to handle daily routes and deliveries. You will perform pre-trip inspections, drive to customer locations, and maintain load temperatures to meet specifications.

The role emphasizes safety compliance and timely deliveries with modern equipment. Qualified candidates will have a valid CDL, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder with first rung 21 inches from ground.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip duties: check route numbers, account numbers, and inspect truck/trailer per DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Drive to deliver orders following all DOT/FMCSA/state regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain load temperatures per load specifications.

Truck Driver Responsibilities And Duties

• Performing all pre-trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded, and performing the "pre-trip safety check" inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Driving to and delivering customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations and GFI procedures and protocols
• Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications
• Unloading products from the trailer with a hand truck or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
• Verifying delivery of items with customer and obtaining proper signatures; collecting money (cash or checks) when required; contacting management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/return.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL license.
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ascend and descend a step up to 17 inches from the floor.
• Climb up and down 3 rungs of a ladder, with the first rung at 21 inches from the ground.
