Job summary

GFI is seeking a professional truck driver for home daily routes with modern equipment and 24/7 maintenance support. The role requires a valid CDL, TWIC, refrigeration experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

You will perform pre-trip checks, drive to deliveries, maintain load temps, unload at customer sites, and handle payments and discrepancies as needed. Compensation includes up to $67,000 per year, monthly safety bonus, 401K with match, profit sharing, generous paid time off, and

Qualifications

• CDL license valid for required route (A or B).
• TWIC card required for access to certain facilities.
• Refrigeration experience is required for perishable goods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ascend/descend stairs up to 17 inches.
• Climb up to 3 rungs of a ladder, first rung 21 inches from floor.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip checks: verify route and account numbers, inspect truck/trailer per DOT/FMCSA.
• Drive to deliver customer orders following all regulations and GFI procedures.
• Maintain correct load temperatures per specifications.
• Unload deliveries using hand truck or by hand into customer storage areas.
• Obtain customer signatures, collect payments when required, and report discrepancies.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Performing all pre-trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded, and performing the "pre-trip safety check" inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Driving to and delivering customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations and GFI procedures and protocols
• Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications
• Unloading products from the trailer with a hand truck or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
• Verifying delivery of items with customers and obtaining proper signatures; collecting money (cash or checks) when required; contacting management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/return.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21.
• Valid CDL License (Class A or B, depending on route requirements).
• TWIC card required.
• Refrigeration experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ascend and descend a step up to 17 inches from the floor.
• Climb up and down 3 rungs of a ladder, with the first rung at 21 inches from the ground.
