Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Relief Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. The role requires ensuring the vehicle complies with safety standards and daily completion of vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the disposal site.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs).
• Maintain adherence to safety policies and SOPs.
