Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a driver to manage daily delivery routes, loading and unloading products and coordinating with customers to confirm orders at each stop. The role includes handling pallets, documents, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, route timing, and collaboration with the Transportation Department Manager to ensure accurate, timely deliveries. CDL-B is required or preferred with strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• One year of route delivery experience or equivalent driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and complete reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine delivery service along daily routes, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures; communicate any discrepancies or returns to management.
• Assist with loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties as assigned.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
