Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a customer-facing delivery driver responsible for daily routes, loading/unloading, and ensuring accurate deliveries. You will operate a straight truck from a domiciled location near customer markets, with occasional loading assistance and adherence to safety and DOT rules.

The role requires at least a high school education, 1 year of route delivery experience, and a valid CDL-B (Class A preferred).

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent required.
• One year route delivery experience preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• English language proficiency to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart to designated storage areas.
• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and occasional up to 100 pounds.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; handle discrepancies.
• Follow DOT regulations and Sysco safety policies; perform pre-trip inspections.
• Organize truck for efficient deliveries and ensure vehicle is roadworthy.
