Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a driver to manage daily routes, load and unload at each stop, and work within a cross-dock model under the Transportation Department Manager’s guidance. You will operate a straight truck, assist with loading and palletizing when needed, and maintain strong customer relations while delivering on time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of route delivery experience or similar straight truck driving background.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Frequent lifting of product up to 50 lbs., infrequent lifting to 80 lbs.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures; address discrepancies on invoices.
• Communicate errors/returns and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
