Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Canton, SD seeks a route driver to carry daily deliveries, load and unload products, and ensure accuracy at customer sites. You will operate a straight truck, comply with DOT rules, and maintain safety at all times.

This role requires a CDL-B, good English communication, and the ability to lift items up to 100 pounds and assist with loading when needed. No remote work; full-time with daily routes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year route delivery experience or background driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or hand cart, and place in designated storage areas.
• Lift, push, or move product weighing 1–75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack/unstack pallets.
