Job summary

Qualifications

• One year route delivery experience or background driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• English language proficiency sufficient to converse with the general public and understand highway signs and reports.
• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated storage areas.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1–75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack/pull pallets and hand carts.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Contact management for authorization when discrepancies on invoices and communicate errors/returns.
• Calls in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
• Handle customer complaints professionally
• Follow DOT regulations and Sysco policies for pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Organize a truck and make deliveries efficiently; check truck operating condition
