Qualifications

• Must have valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)-Class B; hazmat and tank endorsements required*.
• One year of experience in a straight truck or similar vehicle within the last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks.
• Meet delivery schedules while providing professional customer service.
• Secure freight for pick-up and delivery using pallets, straps and rope.
• Perform daily pre-trip, post-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Load, unload, or assist in loading and unloading truck.
• Perform freight handling with pallet jack and hand truck.
• Maintain required documentation and records.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and hazmat placarding.
