Qualifications

• Must hold CDL Class B with hazmat and tank endorsements; automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed.
• At least 1 year experience in straight truck or completed FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Ability to read and understand route schedules.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to sit, bend, twist, squat, climb in/out of truck; work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks between service centers and customers.
• Meet delivery schedules with professional customer service.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues.
• Communicate with dispatch about delays, arrivals, or problems.
• Load and unload freight; assist as needed.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Handle hazmat shipments per DOT regulations.
