Job summary

FedEx Freight in New Hampshire seeks a professional driver responsible for pickup and delivery between service centers and customers. Responsibilities include safe operation of straight trucks, manual lifting, and compliance with hazmat regulations.

You will be expected to meet schedules, provide excellent service, and maintain records. Qualified candidates have a CDL Class B, HazMat endorsement, at least 1 year of straight-truck experience or completion of FedEx Driver Development, be 21+, and

Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
Ability to read and understand route schedules.
Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
Must have valid CDL-Class B with HazMat and Tank endorsements.

Responsibilities

Operate straight trucks.
Meet delivery schedules with professional customer service including solicitation of new business.
Secure freight for pick-up and delivery using pallets, straps and rope.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and safety checks.
Communicate with dispatch regarding delays and equipment issues.
Load and unload freight and perform freight handling using forklift and pallet jack.
Complete required paperwork and records; ensure hazmat compliance and placarding as needed.
