Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a truck driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting the selling process.

The role requires CDL Class A with hazmat/tank endorsements, one year of driving experience or completion of FedEx Driver Development Course, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. You will operate various tractor-trailer configurations, conduct safety inspections, manage documents, and comply with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with hazmat and tank endorsements required.
• One year of relevant driving experience or completion of FedEx Driver Development Course.
• Valid MVR acceptable under company standards.
• DOT FMC regulations compliance required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, doubles/triples and straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies.
• Handle freight with forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight.
• Complete required documentation.
• Comply with hazmat regulations.
• Collect payments for freight charges.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays.
• Communicate with customers to arrange pickup/delivery and solicit leads.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• May perform chaining of tires.
• May perform road driver or dock duties as needed.
• Follow laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
