Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting the selling process. The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements and includes safety inspections and proper documentation.

You may perform related duties as needed to keep operations smooth. One year of recent driving experience or completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course is required, along with a valid MVR and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year of driving experience in the past three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR and meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and assist with dock duties as needed.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and secure freight inside trailers.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding pickup/delivery needs.
• Provide internal/external customer service and seek additional business.
