Qualifications

• Must have valid commercial driver's license (CDL)-Class B; hazardous materials and tank endorsements required.
• One year experience in a straight truck or similar vehicle or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years old.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
• Ability to read route schedules and lift/carry up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and meet delivery schedules with professional customer service.
• Secure freight for pick‑up and delivery using pallets, straps and rope.
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Load, unload, or assist in loading and unloading truck; handle freight as needed.
• Comply with DOT regulations and hazmat requirements; document issues as required.
