Job summary

W. Lee Flowers is seeking a Yard Tractor operator to safely move and position trailers within our facility, supporting on-time loading and unloading operations.

You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, coordinate with drivers and dispatch, and help maintain yard safety and efficiency in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

This role requires a CDL Class A license and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliable communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Experience operating yard tractors or similar equipment is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with drivers and dispatch and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard tractor to move and position trailers within the facility grounds.
• Stage trailers at designated docks for loading and unloading according to schedules.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of yard equipment; report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel, drivers and dispatch to ensure efficient yard operations.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and yard activity.
