Job summary

IntelliSource is seeking a dependable Yard Driver to support trailer movement and yard operations at a fast-paced distribution facility. This role requires safe operation of tractor-trailers, coordination with dock and transportation teams, and maintaining accurate logs and DOT documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, at least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A preferred or required.
• At least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to meet requirements.
• Ability to safely maneuver tractors in tight areas.
• Ability to follow written and verbal safety instructions.
• Ability to complete logs and DOT documentation.
• Ability to work independently with dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailer and yard equipment per regs.
• Coordinate with dock, warehouse, and transport teams.
• Move trailers to dock doors, staging areas, and parking locations.
• Inspect trucks and trailers for safety and readiness.
• Perform pre/post-shift inspections and report issues.
• Maintain fuel levels and document maintenance needs.
• Complete trailer inventory checks and log locations.
• Ensure trailers are secured before/after movement.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and communicate clearly.
