Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a professional truck driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn points. The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements and the ability to operate doubles/triples where applicable.

The driver will perform pre-trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, complete required reports, and adhere to dispatch instructions while ensuring safety and compliance on long-haul routes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements (automatic transmission restriction allowed).
• Must have 1 year experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR and meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies; connect to tractors.
• Complete and verify required documentation and logs.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
