Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking an experienced CDL A driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-points in Mason City, IA. This role requires safe operation of tractor-trailer combinations, adherence to DOT regulations, and regular pre-trip inspections.

Overnight stays may be required, with benefits and overtime per FedEx Freight policy. Qualified candidates will hold a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tank endorsements, a valid MVR meeting company standards, and at least 1 year

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple, HazMat and Tank endorsements.
• 1 year of driving experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT 391 requirements.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations to pick up/deliver between service centers and turn-points.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and complete required documentation.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate any delays or issues.
