Qualifications

• Must hold a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• 1 year experience within last 3 years, or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Valid MVR meeting hiring standards.
• DOT 391 FMC compliance requirements.
• LCV qualifications in specified states (AZ, CO, FL, ID, IN, KS, MT, ND, NV, OH, OK, OR, SD, UT).
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to hook/unhook trailers with ~100 lb lift.
• Ability to sit, bend, twist, climb in/out of truck.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Shows initiative and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Adhere to all laws and company policies.
