Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a professional tractor-trailer driver to move trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations.

You will operate combinations, perform safety inspections, and manage documentation with a strong emphasis on compliance and safety. Requirements include a class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, a good MVR and DOT compliance, and the ability to work with long combination vehicles in various states.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year of experience within the last 3 years, or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have an acceptable MVR and meet DOT FMC regulations.
• LCV experience required in listed states; ability to operate triple trailers.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles (triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
