Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a professional CDL driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations between service centers and turn-points. You will perform daily inspections, handle trailer hookups, complete logs, and comply with safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading freight, following dispatch directions, and potentially performing city driver or dock duties when required. Hazardous materials endorsement is mandatory within 120 days of offer.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with double/triple endorsements and HazMat endorsement.
• At least 1 year trucking experience within the last 3 years or completed FedEx Driver Development.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements and have a compliant MVR.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples when applicable.
• Perform pre-trip and safety inspections daily.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from tractors.
• Complete required documentation and logs accurately.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Possibly perform city driver or dock duties when needed.
• Adhere to hazardous materials rules and company policies.
