Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per company standards.
• Must meet DOT regulations under 49 CFR 391.
• Ability to perform basic math and count.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds several times weekly.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform vehicle operations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and handle freight securely.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dolly connections.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Comply with DOT and company safety regulations.
• Interact with customers to determine pick-up/delivery needs and generate leads.
