Job summary

A valid Class A CDL with double/triple endorsements and hazmat is required, along with at least one year of recent driving experience or completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course. You will perform safety inspections, manage cargo, and communicate with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple and hazmat endorsements.
• Minimum one year of driving experience in the last three years or completion of FedEx Driver Development Course.
• Must maintain acceptable MVR and meet DOT regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and operate in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and dock/drive straight trucks as needed.
• Perform pre-trip and safety inspections daily.
• Hook/unhook trailers and secure freight inside trailers.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, or equipment issues.
• Interact with customers to determine pickup/delivery needs and solicit additional business.
