Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. in Utah is seeking a CDL Class A driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, and follow dispatch instructions to ensure timely service.

This role requires hazmat/tank endorsements and a clean MVR. You will communicate with customers, handle documentation, and support sales by identifying additional business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year of driving experience within the last three years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must possess acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Long combination vehicle qualifications for certain states may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies as needed.
• Handle freight using motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports; comply with DOT regulations.
