Job summary

Altom Transport is seeking dedicated and professional Over The Road CDL A Owner Operator Tanker Drivers to transport liquid bulk materials nationwide. This role involves 7+ consecutive days on the road with flexible home time based on operations and driver preference.

High earnings potential and a strong safety culture are emphasized. Owner operators will act as business partners within our operation, handling loading/unloading, compliance, and customer service while maintaining fuel management

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license required or in process
• Hazmat endorsement preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
• TWIC card preferred (or must obtain after hire)
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tanker driving experience
• Clean MVR and strong safety record
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening and background check
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation of chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Equipment maintenance: ensure truck meets inspection standards and remains road-ready.
• Loading and unloading at loading points following ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker procedures.
• Maintain logs, submit paperwork, and follow Hazmat regulations.
• Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
• Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
• Meet mileage or hour requirements to maintain steady workload.
• Be available for 24/7 operations as needed.
