Job summary

Altom Transport is seeking dedicated and professional Over The Road CDL A Owner Operator Tanker Drivers to safely transport liquid bulk materials across the country. This role requires extended time on the road, typically 7+ consecutive days, with home time that can be planned based on operational needs and driver preferences.

This position offers the flexibility to maximize earnings while ensuring the highest safety and service standards.

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A License required.
Hazmat Endorsement preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
TWIC Card preferred (or obtain after hire).
Minimum 1 year verifiable tanker driving experience.
At least 23 years of age.
Clean MVR and solid safety record.
Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
Willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations if needed.

Responsibilities

Safe Transportation: Hauling chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while adhering to DOT regulations.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep truck in top condition for long-haul success.
Loading & Unloading: Follow procedures for ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker operations at loading and delivery points.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain logs, submit paperwork, and adhere to Hazmat regulations.
Customer Service: Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
Business Management: Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage/hour requirements.
24/7 Operation – Willingness to be available 24/7 when needed.
