Job summary

Altom Transport, Inc. is seeking dedicated Over The Road CDL A Owner Operator Tanker Drivers to transport liquid bulk nationwide. The role involves extended on-road time (7+ days) with flexible home time based on operations and driver preference.

You will haul chemical and petroleum products in tank trailers, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and performance. As an Owner Operator, you are a business owner partnering with Altom Transport, responsible for maintenance, loading/unloading

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License.
• Hazmat Endorsement (H) – Preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
• TWIC Card – Preferred (or must obtain after hire).
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tanker driving experience.
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Clean MVR and strong safety record.

Responsibilities

• Safe transportation of chemical and petroleum products using tanker trailers.
• Equipment maintenance to meet inspection standards.
• Loading and unloading at points of loading/delivery.
• Maintaining logs and paperwork per Hazmat regulations.
• Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
• Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
• Meet mileage or hour requirements to maintain workload.
• Willingness to operate 24/7 when needed.
