Job summary

Altom Transport is seeking dedicated Over-the-Road CDL A Tanker Drivers to safely transport liquid bulk materials across the country. This role involves extended time on the road (7+ days) with home time planned around operations and driver needs.

You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, load/unload tanker trucks, and maintain accurate trip records. The company emphasizes safety, compliance with DOT and hazardous materials rules, and a family-owned culture with opportunities for earnings

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL Class A license
• Hazmat endorsement preferred; must obtain within 90 days of hire
• TWIC Card preferred or required after hire
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tanker driving experience
• Must be at least 23 years old
• Clean MVR and strong safety record
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations
• Rigorous onboarding and new hire safety training
• Mandatory quarterly safety meetings with fleet

Responsibilities

• Long-haul driving across regions to deliver bulk liquid materials on schedule
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and safety policies
• Safely load/unload tanker trucks with hoses and pumps per safety protocols
• Maintain trip, inspection, and incident records for compliance
• Coordinate deliveries with dispatch and customers to manage schedules
• Adhere to federal, state, and local hazardous materials regulations
• Maintain steady mileage and workload to support operations and earnings
