Job summary

Performance Food Group in Fredericksburg, Virginia is hiring a Driver, Dedicated Backhaul to support local and interstate routes. You will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck, delivering food and related products to customers on schedule and in good condition.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, at least 21 years old, and 6+ months of driving experience. Start time is 4:00 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, with shifts around 10 hours and a pay rate of $27.80 per hour. Benefits start Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Must be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Drive to assigned supplier/vendor and/or PFG warehouse locations according to a predetermined route and delivery schedule.
• Delivers assigned loads back to PFG warehouse locations for receiving into inventory.
• Performs load and paperwork inspections including product counts, invoices, and quality checks.
• Complete required paperwork for backhaul operations accurately.
• Check in with supervisor to confirm route, load, and schedule; report issues as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
