Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty and full trailers between warehouse locations and domicile yards. You will operate tandem and tractor trailers on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role requires driving experience, a valid CDL-A with doubles endorsement, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Day 1 benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus are offered, with opportunities for growth in a safety‑conscious team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• CDL-A with doubles endorsement required.
• Must be 21+ years old and meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• DOT Health Card required or able to obtain.
• Post-offer drug test and background check.
• Road test must be passed.
• Ability to lift 10–90 lbs and operate lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailer for proper loading and securing freight.
• Maintain route paperwork and dispatch readiness.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and secure trailers in designated areas.
• Secure freight and manage damaged goods handoffs.
• Record hours of service accurately.
• Keep equipment and loading areas clean and organized.
• Fulfill additional duties to support operations.
