Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is seeking CDL drivers in Vermont to safely transport raw milk from farms to processing plants. You will operate DFA tank trailers, follow dispatch schedules, and maintain safety and efficiency on various roads and farm routes.

CDL drivers take milk quality samples, monitor loads, and minimize idle time while adhering to DOT and DFA safety rules. The role requires a valid Class A CDL and good English communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year CDL experience or FMCSA-approved driving school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT, DFA policies.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, connecting hoses, climbing a ladder, and hooking/unhooking trucks and trailers.
• Verify proper documentation (Load numbers, Seal numbers) to validate load delivery.
• Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain cleanliness.
• Represent DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers or regulatory personnel.
