Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Vermont is seeking CDL drivers to safely transport raw milk from farms to processing plants. The role operates DFA tank trailers with a home daily expectation and a rotating schedule, with potential bonuses.

You will perform quality control samples, measure milk, minimize idle time, and follow dispatch directions. Requires a valid Class A CDL, tanker endorsement, 21+ years old, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• DOT rules and safety regulations knowledge required.
• Must meet MVR and pre-employment background checks.
• Clear English communication (written and verbal).
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT, DFA policies.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, connecting and disconnecting hoses, climbing a ladder and safely hooking and unhooking trucks and trailers.
• Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers) to validate load delivery and destination.
• Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain cleanliness at a food grade level.
• Represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers or regulatory personnel.
