Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Vermont is seeking CDL drivers to safely haul raw milk from farms to processing plants. You will follow dispatch schedules, operate tank trailers, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include valid Class A CDL, 21+, 1+ year CDL experience, knowledge of DOT rules, ability to communicate clearly in English, and basic math skills. DFA offers generous vacation, weekend premium, OT, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and safety regulations.
• Must meet MVR requirements, DOT requirements, pre-employment background requirements.
• Clear English communication (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT, DFA Commercial Motor Vehicle, and safety policies.
• Perform various physical tasks including lifting, connecting and disconnecting hoses, climbing a ladder and safely hooking and unhooking trucks and trailers.
• Verify proper documentation (Load number/Seal numbers/etc.) to validate load delivery and destination.
• Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble trailer pumps to maintain proper cleanliness at a food grade level.
• Always represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with customers, or regulatory personnel.
