Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL (A) to safely operate heavy commercial trucks and deliver or remove large containers while adhering to safety standards. The role requires pre/post-trip inspections, courteous customer service, and basic container repairs.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Must follow safety standards and company policies.
• Ability to perform minor repairs to containers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated routes and service customers.
• Operate controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of materials.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and staff daily.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in yard.
• Report unsafe conditions and complete required reports.
• Maintain productivity standards and safety compliance.
• Follow all safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
