Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver with a Class A CDL to safely operate heavy trucks for delivery and removal of large containers. The role emphasizes compliance with safety standards, pre/post trip inspections, and courteous customer service on a daily route.

Ideal candidates will have a CDL-A with air brakes endorsement and prefer at least two years of prior trucking experience. The position includes comprehensive benefit options and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs to containers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service customers.
• Operate controls to lift, load, and dispose of waste at the site.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others daily.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.
